3D Archery Shoot Fundraiser Recap
On July 13, 2024, the Wildland Property Group hosted a 3D Archery Shoot at Horner’s archery course in Lebanon, Oregon, to raise funds for Oregon State University’s 4-H Shooting Sports Program. This was a one-day event for all ages and experience levels that provided archery hunting enthusiasts with 40 3D targets placed methodically throughout the timberland and forest in realistic hunting—like scenarios. Anything from a bedded bull elk at 104 years with a tough shot between two tightly closed trees to a pronghorn across a pond at 42 yards while shooting from a blind, various species, yardages, angels, and difficulty factors were on the table.
Among the course was a designated check-in area, where some tents provided information regarding the event, an area with picnic tables to hang out with friends and family, and a grill for a barbeque that took place towards the end of the day where Lonny (manager of Horner’s) was frying up some burgers and hotdogs.
Across from those tents was an area for youth to practice shooting bows. Stacked with foam blocks, targets, and balloons, it was the perfect setup for the next generation to launch some arrows and immerse themselves in this worthwhile lifestyle.

One of the best parts of the event was the raffle. With support from numerous companies in the hunting/outdoor industry, the planning committee for the event, which the CAMO & WIND team was a part of, provided participants ample prize options to place tickets to win prizes. The funds raised from the tickets go straight to the OSU 4-H Shooting Sports Program.
The product variation to win during the raffle was awesome, ranging from a brand-new bow, boots, game cameras, water filters, and quiver to scent lock spray, which the participants greatly appreciated.

Why did the Wildland Property Group want to put this event on? Simple. It’s to set up the next generation for success. Youth involved with archery can:
- Foster better mental health.
- Get a break from technology and be immersed in nature.
- Spend more time focusing, being present, and tuning out distractions.
- Help develop more patience.
- Expose them to a challenging activity that requires one to learn from mistakes and develop resilience.
- Provide a calming outlet to detach from stressful things going on in their lives.
- Help cultivate a sense of self-confidence and self-worth.
These qualities and benefits are more critical now than ever for the next generation to develop and expand on. Exposing more youth to archery’s physical and mental benefits could change the trajectory of their lives for the better. An upcoming generation that is highly involved in archery allows us to help preserve this lifestyle for years to come and keep this community flourishing. Knowing what this lifestyle can provide us and what it can provide others is why you will see events such as this now and forever in the future.
This 3D shoot was more than just an event; it was a moment to pay it forward. We had a wonderful turnout and raised a significant amount of funds for Oregon State University’s 4-H Shooting Sports Program. Each arrow that hit a target, smiles that were had, raffle tickets dropped in prize boxes, and every little thing adds up to a meaningful event and cause.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who helped organize this event, especially Lonny and his family, Wildland Property Group, friends, and all of the sponsors who helped make it possible. We appreciate your continuous support immensely and we can’t thank you enough for seeing the value of giving back to the next generation. Long live this way of life.
